British Mountain Bike Race Series appoints Red Cloud
Red Cloud Marketing and Communications has been appointed as PR agents to the British Mountain Bike Race Series and Bontrager TwentyFour12 event.
The Bedfordshire based company will work closely with the race organizers to promote their events to the national and international media as well as to local press for each race venue.
The British Mountain Bike Race Series kicks off with round one at Sherwood Pines on March 26th-27th and climaxes at round five in Newnham Park on September 24th-25th.
The widely acclaimed Bontrager TwentyFour12 event takes place at Newnham Park on July 23rd-24th.

Team What Mountain Bike Red Cloud take on the 2011
TransRockies for Stay Strong
What Mountain
Bike magazine and cycle industry marketing and PR specialists, Red Cloud
Marketing & Communications have joined forces to take on the legendary
TransRockies race this August in aid of Stay Strong.
Supported by SRAM,
Travel Alberta and the race organizers, Team What Mountain Bike Red Cloud is
offering the opportunity of a lifetime for one lucky person to join them in
Canada this summer whilst raising funds for and awareness of the Stay Strong
charity set up by injured BMX star Stephen Murray.
Now in its tenth
year, the legendary TransRockies race – dubbed TransRockies X in this anniversary year (www.transrockies.com) - takes place from August 7th
– 13th 2011 across some of the most spectacular and challenging
country on the planet. Starting in Fernie, British Columbia and ending in
Canmore, Alberta the route takes in the kind of stunning mountain vistas and
technical singletrack that only Canada can offer.
Readers of What
Mountain Bike’s February issue (on sale from January 12th) will be
invited to enter the competition for a place in the race as Red Cloud founder,
Mark Almond’s race partner. With flights and race support package, including
meals and tent accommodation also included, all the winner has to do is train,
turn up and take part.
SRAM’s UK
distributor, Fisher Outdoor will also be donating up to £1000 RRP worth of SRAM
components for the winner to upgrade their bike with ahead of the race.
As Mark explains
‘’ I’ve always wanted to enter the TransRockies but never felt my fitness or
ability on a bike was at the level required. However, seeing Stephen Murray’s
ongoing battle and determination made me realize that anything is indeed
possible’’
